Profile
Oliver Lorz was born in Kassel in 1968. He studied economics at the University of Konstanz and received a doctoral degree as well as a post-doctoral Habilitation degree from the University of Kiel. Before coming to Aachen, he held positions at the Kiel Institute of World Economics and at the University of Konstanz. He was a visiting scholar at the NBER, the MIT, both Cambridge, USA, and at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. Since 2004, Oliver Lorz has headed the International Economics Unit at RWTH Aachen University. Since April 2011 he has also been the Dean of the School.
