Sustainable Prosumer Lab

The Sustainable Prosumer Lab aims to become an internationally visible research institution on users (consumers and firms) of sustainable energy and mobility solutions. The concept of "prosumer" encompasses the active, creative, and often multiple roles of users (e.g. distributed energy production, electric vehicles). A crucial concern of the Lab is the analysis of the introduction and expansion of innovative technologies and institutional structures. In addition, the   corresponding sustainability processes and markets will be modelled, implemented and developed.The Sustainable Prosumer Lab actively seeks to establish collaboration with other RWTH institutions  as well as external institutions in the fields of energy, mobility, and environment (e.g. the RWTH Campus Clusters "Sustainable Energy" and "Logistics", the E.ON Energy Research Center, JARA Energy, RWTH Interdisciplinary Forums).
